This car seat is awesome and all the negative things that I read about it before buying it are definetly outweighed by the positive. i own a 2008 jeep patriot and have three small children. I needed to be able to fit three car seats across the back seat. With only 51 inches of hip room this seemed tough the radian made it easy. Even with two other larger carseats it would fit fine.
