This swing is definitely not "up to par" compared to other, older Graco models. We bought this model right after my daughter was born and we noticed right away that it didn't swing very fast, even on the highest setting. After about a month of use, we also noticed that the motor would stop unexpectedly (even though it had new batteries). Another problem is that instead of having a battery casing that you can snap open, the casing on this model has to be unscrewed. What's worse is the casing is inconveniently located in the middle (the worst possible place) of one of the legs, which means performing acrobatics every time you have to change the battery .
